Nutrition

Nutrition and lifestyle are crucial pieces of the fertility puzzle, and personal support can help identify areas where meaningful changes may make a real difference. My decision to pursue a Master’s degree in Human Nutrition was inspired by witnessing the significant impact that nutrition and lifestyle advice had on fertility patients treated holistically at the Zita West Fertility Clinic. During my studies, I focused on the pre-conceptual period and, for my final dissertation - awarded a distinction - I investigated the Vitamin D status and lifestyle characteristics of over 1,100 fertility patients.

“My goal is to empower you with clear, trustworthy guidance, helping you to better understand your body, explore your options, and make meaningful changes to enhance your health and fertility. I can help you create a realistic, personalised plan to guide your journey to parenthood.”

What areas of nutrition do you work with?

I specialise in helping individuals and couples who want to start a family, whether they are trying to conceive naturally or with IVF. I offer compassionate care and evidence-based guidance in nutrition and reproductive health, adapted to their unique needs. I also provide nutritional support throughout pregnancy and the postpartum period, to help navigate these transformative stages. You can find more information about what specific areas and conditions can nutrition help with, in the pages Fertility and IVF support and Pregnancy and Postnatal Support.

How many appointments will I need?

Some people only need a single appointment, while others find that occasional reviews and follow-ups help them adapt to changing circumstances, such as at different stages of IVF treatment. Feel free to email me if you are unsure—I am happy to help guiding you.

There is also the option of signing up for a health coaching package, which offers integrated nutrition and coaching support over a longer period of time. You can find more information in the Health Coaching page.

What can I expect at my first nutrition consultation?

Before an initial consultation, you will be asked to complete a comprehensive pre- consultation form, which includes questions about your health and fertility history, lifestyle, current diet, and food preferences, as well as a food diary. This background information helps me identify the specific areas we should focus on during our session.

During the consultation, we will review your diet, discuss supplements and lifestyle, and tailor recommendations to your individual needs. Rather than giving you a set diet to follow, I will suggest realistic, evidence-based changes and adjustments that align with your preferences, lifestyle, and current situation. After the session, you will receive a follow-up email summarising the advice, recommendations provided, and an action plan.

All appointments are conducted via Zoom/video call. Upon booking, you will receive a private link with an invitation. Appointments are 75 minutes long (90 minutes for couples). The consultation includes a single follow-up email, with the opportunity for you to clarify any questions that remain after the consultation. For any further inquiries or continued support, you are welcome to book a further follow-up nutrition appointment or a Health Coaching package on my booking page.
